So the somewhat-spontaneous trip to Montreal this weekend turned out swimmingly – twas a welcome break from work and schoolwork, and I got to wander to my heart’s content, meet some new people, go to Expozine (an awesome annual ‘zine fair), purchase some vintage wares, and cook and eat some great food! I also got a LEGIT hangover, which is very rare for me. Haha.
Thumbs up, all round.
Mad cooking session on Friday led to a colourful, veggie-filled, and delicious dinner –
Broccoli, tofu, sweet pepper, and enoki mushroom stir-fry with coconut milk, soy sauce, peanut butter, and a spice concoction!
Summer rolls with vermicelli noodles, tofu, peanuts, and fresh cilantro! Cap’n Morgan’s spiced rum lurking in the background. Mmmm good.
All together. SO GOOD.
Some scenes from walking about the Plateau –
Rather impressive church on St Viateur
Jardins communaux! Or jardins de communauté? Je ne suis pas sur comment le dire.
So many creatively-decorated bikes.
